Ingredients

  • 400g Mac & Cheese macaroni
  • 55g butter
  • 30g flour
  • 350ml milk
  • 1tsp onion powder
  • 150g cheddar

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni al dente and in a meantime start preparing the sauce.
  2. To make sauce melt butter over medium heat, once butter is completely melted whisk in flour and let it cook for 2 minutes while stirring all the time.
  3. Slowly (in 2/3 batches) add milk and stir until all lumps are gone each time. Then add salt, pepper, onion powder and cheddar.
  4. Pour macaroni into a baking dish and cover with the sauce. Add a shredded cheese of your choice on top.
  5. Bake in 180°C for 20 minutes.

💡 Chef Tips

After baking cover it with foil for about 10 minutes, it will make macaroni stick more to each other.
